C’est en 1976, lors de l’Exposition Industrielle Française à Caracas que Mesdames Cassagnou et Caraguil, ainsi que d’autres femmes françaises, ont décidé de créer Caracas Accueil. En 1978, les premiers statuts ont été déposés selon la loi vénézuélienne. Le rôle de Caracas Accueil est de rendre plus facile l’installation des nouveaux arrivants, grâce à l’expérience récente ou plus ancienne de tous les membres de l’association, à travers des activités hebdomadaires ou mensuelles, et lors du Café Rencontre qui a lieu le premier mercredi de chaque mois, organisé par une hôtesse membre de l’association. |
