BIG members visit AMURT school in Petare

Who are we?

The British & International Group - Caracas (B.I.G.) is a non-profit-making organization whose ever-growing membership encompasses newcomers to the City and residents alike. Our goal is to promote friendship through the provision of diverse activities whilst making a worthwhile contribution towards charities in the community.

Founded more than 60 years ago, during the Second World War, when the membership was restricted to ladies holding British passports only, the current membership embraces expatriate men and women from all over the world, together with many Venezuelan residents.

To find out how the Group originated click on The origin of B.I.G.

To read all about previous events and activities members have participated in over the past year, go to the This & That page and click on the thumbnails of past B.I.G. Newsletters.

To find out more information about the social activities members and non-members can currently enjoy, click on the Activities page and look at the Coming Soon page for details of upcoming events.

Below are a few examples of the many charities supported by B.I.G. To find out more or get involved send us an email. Better still, come along to our next coffee morning and see for yourself.
