The British and International Group met for their first meeting after summer holidays.

We were graciously welcomed by the new British Ambassador, Catherine Royal who welcomed the group.

We were delighted to have a piano performance by the girls from Hogar de Ninas Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe from La Pastora. Greimar, Sandra, Thais and Linda performed many beautiful pieces. Diana Mederos introduced the girls and mentioned that they would welcome us to their home to visit anytime.

Debbie Yanda announced our upcoming events and encouraged people to sign up on the activity sheets provided. Betty Bell who is charge of our donations to charities introduced the following charity representative and presented the group with our donations:

  • Casa Hogar San Pedro Claver
  • Fundation Amor
  • Asociacion Muchachos de la Calle
  • Servidoras del Senor
  • Instituto Mercedarias Misioneras
  • Hogar Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe

Mary Monical and Charlene Avocato who are in charge of our big events, discussed the Silent Auction on Fri. Oct 26th. The venue to be decided. They asked for volunteers for submitting silent auction items and making baskets.

Debbie Yanda announced our next coffee morning will be at Michelle Segura-Coz house. Karen who is our secretary will send out an email regarding directions. Michelle will give us a presentation on visiting France.

Everyone enjoyed the food as well as visiting the twelve vendors who were there with some wonderful items.

Thanks to Krystyna Mallmann and Helen Rebaudo who organized the coffee.

Again thanks to Ambassador Catherine Royal for sharing their lovely home.

Respectively Submitted,

Debbie Yanda

President of the British and International Group
