December 2008 Coffee Morning

and Xmas Mini Bazaar

Our Christmas Coffee Morning was held on December 1st. at the house of our President Nicola Loosley.

Her beautiful home with a stunning view of Caracas was the perfect setting for the last coffee morning of 2008.

At this meeting we had a large amount of vendors and members and friends had the chance to do some Xmas shopping. Our Craft group was very successful too. Thanks to Ineke and her team for working so hard during the whole year.

As you all know B.I.G. has been involved in raising funds for different charities and organizations in Venezuela, mainly focusing on projects concerning needy children.

During the Coffee Morning we took the opportunity to distribute donations from our fund raising activities to the following charities: Centro Infantil San Edmundo in Minas de Baruta, Casa Hogar San Pedro Claver and Casa Hogar Hermanas Mercedarias in El Paraiso, Casa Hogar Jose Gregorio Hernandez in Macarao and Casa Hogar Santa Teresa del Niño Jesús.

OSMAN ( Obra Social de la Madre y el Niño) will get an air conditioning unit that they need. Casa Hogar San Rafael in El Vigía and Casa Hogar Mamá Petra in Seboruco  will receive donations too.
