February Coffee Morning and Annual General Meeting 2008

Location: Residence of the British Ambassador, Country Club

 

Our President, Debbie Yanda welcomed everyone present to the Annual General Meeting of the British and International Group. She thanked the current committee for their efficient team effort and their hard work on all the projects which were organized during their term of office.

She also highlighted their achievement in welcoming new members to Caracas, enjoying events and activities organized by the committee and raising funds for the charities supported by BIG.

Paul Breeze, our Treasurer gave his annual report.

BIG had a very successful year that allowed us to help the following organizations:

Ambar, Casa Hogar San Pedro Claver, Fundacion Madre Teresa, Hogar Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, Instituto Mercedarias Misioners, Muchachos de la Calle, Obra Social de la Madre y el Niño, Centro Comunal San Edmundo and Servidoras del Señor.

Debbie announced the members interested in serving on the 2008/2007 BIG Committee, which was approved as follows:

Debbie thanked the outgoing committee once again and welcomed the incoming committee. She got a nice wooden Amazone animal as a thank you for being President before.

Now Nicola will take over as President and we hope she will enjoy doing that! At least she is looking forward to it, and so is Jennie being our new Vice President!

Again it was a nice get together, and we are looking forward to see you at the March Coffee Morning!
