For those of you leaving, we bid a fond farewell and wish you all the best in your new destinations! We ask that you remember BIG as you are packing up. Please consider donating gently used toys and clothes (both children and adults) to BIG for our many charities. Also, if you have nice items that can be auctioned off or baskets we can use please remember us for the Silent Auction. Our many worthy charities thank you!
Members: While you are on your vacations and home visits please remember BIG and our Silent Auction. As it's our largest fundraiser of the year, we'd like to make it better than ever by having fabulous baskets and goodies from all across the globe. So remember, big or small, all items will be greatly appreciated! Some suggestions: items particular to that country, goodies from home (US and UK "Taste of Home" baskets would go over well!) Don't forget beach items, spa items, and everything in between.

Membership:
New members can fill out the membership forms and pay their dues at the coffee mornings. Returning members must renew their membership starting in September. We're hoping to publish a new directory this fall. Contact Tara if you’re not a member and would like to join. Half-year memberships are available.
Charity:
B.I.G. is committed to helping our local charities. If you have been cleaning out your closets, please bring along clothes, shoes, toys and games to the next coffee morning and we will make sure they are given to a worthwhile cause.
At each coffee morning we have a table of books for sale. The money raised is distributed to our charities. We are always looking for more books and magazines so if you have any that you’d like to donate please bring them along.
Neighbourhood Connection Volunteers:
Are you new to Caracas? Would you like information on where to shop in your neighbourhood? Meet a new friend over coffee? We have volunteers from 3 neighbourhoods: North (Alta Mira, Sebucan, Campo Alegre, etc), East (San Roman, Cerro Verde, areas east of the autopista), and Southwest (Valle Arriba, El Penon, areas SW of the autopiista). Contact Jennie at 0414 186 0783 and she will direct you to the volunteer in your neighbourhood.
